GR Yaris Sump Guard Kit

Are you looking to take your Yaris GR on an ice track or to some windy gravel roads? Do you wander off the beaten track in search of adventure, accompanied by your GR? If you do, our Sump Guard Kit is the exact upgrade you need to fit to your Yaris!

Our Sump Guard Kit consists of an aluminium underguard to protect the engine, gearbox and subframe from impacts. When using the Light kit the aluminium used is EN5754 in a 5mm thickness giving your Yaris good protection in a lighter package. In the Pro kit we include a 6mm EN6082 sump guard. This one will take on even the roughest rally stage and come out on top. These kits are used on stage rally cars and recce cars in tough events like for example Safari or Argentinia. 

Our sump guard fitting bar is made of high strength 40x2.5mm tubing with extra vertical braces welded into it in the case of the Pro kit - a design we came up with after running the kits at WRC Estonia, where the roads become deeply rutted during second passes. This bar mounts directly to the factory front subframe mounting points on your Yaris making sure the installation is simple and quick. The bar is mounted using factory bolts as well so no need to modify anything on the car.

To keep your front bumper in one piece we added the composite front bumper underguard to our kit. This along with the rest of our products was designed using 3D scanning and CAD in order to guarantee a good fit and easy installation. We were able to model the part in CAD and use the designs to 3D print a plug from which to make the mold for the production part. A cutting edge take on composites production. This process makes our kits one of the best fitting available on the market for the Yaris GR. 

In order to make sure there was nothing that a Yaris GR with our kit fitted could not take on we designed additional supports for the front bumper underguard. These mount to the sides of our sump guard fitting bar and to factory mounting points on the front of the chassis rails. The result of this is that you can actually jack up a Yaris GR with our kit fitted from the corner of the front bumper - a fact that we are very proud of!

An added benefit of our Sump Guard Kit is improved chassis rigidity as our kit connects to a total of 4 front subframe mounting points, plus another two points on the front of the chassis rails. Tying all of these points together through a solid sump guard solution is an immense improvement in rigidity. A great upgrade that is packaged into a bolt on solution!

Our Neomatic Sump Guard Kits are offered in two versions: 

• Lightweight - 29kg - Lightweight version using a 5mm EN5754 aluminium sump guard, with standard mountings. Suitable for enthusiasts and snow conditions. 
• Pro - 32kg -  A more robust 6mm EN6082 aluminium sump guard with a mounting bar incorporating our internal vertical braces. Ready to take on the roughest gravel stage you can throw at it!
